Shells are one of the most spectacular and dramatic fireworks their also probably one of the oldest, I think they are the most fascinating fireworks ever to be made.

Fired to a great height from a mortar tube these are truly amazing fireworks which are only available to fireworks display company operators, sizes from 2" to 16" though there was two 48" dia shells fired in Japan in 1988, these are believed to be the largest fireworks ever in the world, see the picture below or click the link to see one actually being fired.

New design double fan rack

These double fan racks really do help spread the effects out across the sky

These are block racks.

These are for 3" shells or mines and are very heavy to move around but do save time and work

Loading these block racks and waterproofing them.

Notice the shells for sale to the public in this old brochure, we could buy shells once upon a time.
